Braulio J. Álvarez obtained a MSc in Industrial Engineering and a PhD from the University of Oviedo (Spain) in 2001 and 2009 respectively. Since 2003 he is working in the Department of Construction and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Oviedo. He developed different research activities in the field of industrial metrology, especially in the dimensional inspection and planning manufacturing processes. His current area of interest is focused on the dimensional inspection applied to additive manufacturing processes. He has participated in numerous research projects and the obtained results have been reflected in numerous publications in journals of high impact as well as in national and international conference presentations.
