The Prototyping and Additive Manufacturing Network (RedProMad) aims to promote cooperation among higher education institutions in order to strengthen capabilities in prototyping and additive manufacturing through the exchange of knowledge, best practices and applied experiences. The initiative fosters the connection between education, innovation and technology transfer, with the goal of generating academic, scientific and industrial impact.
At present, RedProMad is composed of higher education institutions from Colombia and Spain and is intended to serve as a coordinating framework for communication in the field of prototyping and additive manufacturing on both sides of the Atlantic.
The 1st RedProMad Meeting, organised by the Engineering for Precision Manufacturing (EPM) research group at the University of Oviedo, will include visits by 18 members from the Colombian partner institutions to various additive manufacturing facilities located in the GIJON Knowledge Mile.
