Who we are

IPFResearch is the name of our team. We develop research activities in the area of Manufacturing Engineering Processes, at the University of Oviedo (Spain). We have more than 30 years of experience in R&D&I activities, often funded by public and private institutions.

Until a few years ago, our main lines of research have been related to the automatic planning of manufacturing processes and contact and non-contact inspection. In our previous project, we have worked with conoscopic holography sensors for integration into CMMs and CNC production machine tools. Currently, we are working on the integration of additive manufacturing and non-contact inspection to improve the quality of parts obtained by FFF (Fused Filament Fabrication).
